Band Notes 9/25 to 10/1

Good evening to everyone. Lots of great things happening - the next month or so is going to be busy with the marching band performances about to begin, and some very big fundraisers coming up soon! (Pacific NW Marching Band Championships, Craft Fair planning, etc).

Congrats to the marching band folks on a great week of practice and a wonderful potluck event on Saturday evening! Getting close to performance time!!!!

SO CAL REGISTRATION

Thanks to all of you that took a moment to register! I am very excited with the fact that the vast majority of our students have registered to attend (over 90!). Our next steps - help everyone get there!

Stay tuned for a link to our 23/24 So Cal Information Guide that will be a place to visit regularly for answers to questions you might have!

Don't worry about making any payments at this point. You will see fees start to hit student accounts soon and will get more information about fees, refunds, "release dates", etc.

SYLLABUS, CODE OF CONDUCT, and ANTICIPATED FEES

Please keep a look out this week for our course documents and a Google doc to digitally sign indicating your awareness of them. My hopes are to address more of this information at the MHS Open House this Thursday, September 28th.

OPEN HOUSE!

Please attend the MHS Open House this week. I'd love to see all of you and share information, answer questions you have. The time that evening does fly by but we'll get to as much as we can. Everyone being "in the know" sure helps things run smoothly!

THIS WEEK

• Monday 9/25

  • MBCG Wendy's Sponsor Night!

    • Marching Band and Color Guard students will be entertainment for a couple of hours at Wendy's at the Y (Newport HWY by Wendle, Home Depot, etc).

    • Our group will benefit from the proceeds of sales on this evening. We are not providing the labor force ... whew :D

• Tuesday 9/26

  • MBCG Rehearsal - 3pm to 6pm, MHS

• Wednesday 9/27

• Thursday 9/28

  • MBCG Rehearsal - 3pm to 6pm, MHS

• Friday 9/29

  • MBCG Homecoming Football Game - HALFTIME SHOW!
