Good evening, everyone! Another beautiful week of fall weather and getting things dialed in around school. Most students have the instruments they need and classes are becoming a bit more routine. We do have a few more students that need equipment and for those of you that are just beginning your high school journey, please make sure to have the daily accessories. Woodwind players do need to provide their own reeds and we do ask our brass players to have some of the common mutes needed; straight mute for concert band and cup, harmon and plunger for jazz. If you aren't able to get these right away, ask friends for reeds, ask me to borrow a mute or two.
Quick note about tuxes and dresses - these are to be kept at school and not taken home. For performances, students will report to school approx. 30 to 45 minutes prior to our start time and use school restrooms to change.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT - LAST WEEK
Bandwagon Meeting - thank you so much to our booster club officers and so many of you that came out to hear more about our band community! What the group does, who they (YOU) are, and fundraisers were a big part of the meeting. Many folks signed up to participate and many expressed interest in possibly becoming leads on those activities; THANK YOU! For more details and participating in fundraisers, please email pantherbandwagon@gmail.com OR check out our fundraising tab of the website for some general info about what we offer.
Uniform Fitting - our volunteers were in again on Wednesday to help fit students that were still in need of a tux or dress for our concerts. They will also be in on Monday during classes to get a few more fitted.
