Band Notes 4/15 to 4/21

Back in to the groove! Here we go into the final stretch of the year. Believe it or not, we have just 5 weeks of class time and a few evening rehearsals to prepare everything we will be performing for the Lilac Parade on 5/18, So Cal trip 5/22 to 5/27, and Awards Concert on 6/3. That's right! Lilac Parade and California just a little over 5 weeks away!

IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS

Students attending the So Cal trip MUST sign up for hotel rooms. We do have a lot of students signed up, but our complete rooming list is due in the next couple of weeks. Let's get this done! :D

THOUGHTS ON ONE OF OUR BAND & GUARD FAMILY MEMBERS

Paul Fleming, father of 2 program graduates, was involved in a head-on collision this weekend. Things appear to have a positive outlook for Paul, but it will no doubt take some time in a challenging rehab program. In addition to their 2 children performing with us, Paul and Lana spent countless hours volunteering for us. Our thoughts are with the entire Fleming family!

CONCERT CANCELATION

Due to our truck returning from So Cal, our concert currently scheduled for May 28 will be canceled. We will be including all music intended for this concert on our end of the year Awards Concert which is on your calendars for June 3rd. Stay tuned for more details on the schedule for the Awards Concert. It's a fun event with a BBQ, desert, music and recognition!
