Band Notes 11/6 - 11/12

As mentioned last week, The fall is rolling along with a couple of busy, quick-moving months that we are in the beginning of! November and December always seem to cruise along pretty quickly with the hustle of holiday music preparation and a couple of long weekends/short weeks (Veterans Day and Thanksgiving).

Congrats to the marching band and color guard students as they wrapped up last week with a special night of pictures, awards, a performance, and closure to the 2023 season - Well done!

This week we are busy with our monthly Bandwagon meeting, our first concert, and our craft fair!

CRAFT FAIR

Thank you so much to everyone for your efforts. This fundraiser is a tremendous amount of work before, during, and after the event but yields a ton of wonderful community spirit throughout are area and also is a big, big fundraiser for our group!

Sign up to help! We need YOU!

Students - CLICK HERE if you'd like to see the sign up for the craft fair. This will be good for referencing your shifts!

Adults - CLICK HERE if you'd like to see or SIGN UP for a shift through SignUp Genius. We are still in need of help for this big, big fundraiser!

Bake Sale

Another big part of our craft fair is the bake sale! So many of our visiting customers rave about the fun holiday treats they find at our craft fair.

Students will also receive community service points for bringing baked goods!

Please bring them to your shift when you check in - or drop them off on Friday during setup!

Special thanks to Kori Baker and all the folks that have been working behind the scenes to make this happen!

NOVEMBER 7 - VETERANS DAY CONCERT

On November 7 our students will be sharing music we've worked on for these first couple months of the school year; they are sounding great!

For this concert, we will be doing an America-based theme which means students may wear red, white, and blue shoes, pants, tops, dresses, etc. with some accessories being okay.

PLEASE do not make this a night of political expression. This night is meant to share music of a celebratory and reflective nature that hopefully honors our veterans that have served.

Please do invite anyone that would enjoy listening. We will play a couple of marches, an arrangement of America the Beautiful and play one song that contains themes from our 5 military branches.
