Well, we've seen our first couple days with snow, and the competitive completion of the marching band season (which usually happens before snow :D). Way to finish strong at the WSU competition!! We'll officially wrap up the season with MBCG Performance, Pictures, and Awards on Thursday night, November 2.
The fall is rolling along with a couple of busy, quick-moving months right around the corner! November and December always seem to cruise along with the hustle of holiday music preparation and a couple of long weekends/short weeks (Veterans Day and Thanksgiving).
TRUNK OR TREAT?
Anyone interested in bringing their vehicle (or 2, or 3 :D) to help youngsters have a great experience at Trunk or Treat? It is also awesome to have a band presence at these community events! (6pm to 8pm at MHS).
JAZZ BANDS AT SFMEA at WHITWORTH
This week, both of our jazz bands will be having their first performances of the year - November 1st, Cowles Auditorium, Whitworth University.
The itinerary was posted to the jazz band group for 23/24. Don't forget to join that group if you are a jazz parent/students. (https://band.us/n/a9ad9cKaW5g6g).
Start scheduling reminders to yourself to bring black socks and shoes to school that morning! Tuxes will be here at school for you to change into at the designated times!

Jazz 1 - 11:00am

CRAFT FAIR SIGNUPS
Craft fair sign ups are into full swing. Thank you so much to everyone for your efforts. This is a tremendous amount of work before, during, and after the event but yields a ton of wonderful community spirit throughout are area and also is a big, big fundraiser for our group!

NOVEMBER 7 - VETERANS DAY CONCERT
On November 7 our students will be sharing music we've worked on for these first couple months of the school year; they are sounding great!
For this concert, we will be doing an America-based theme which means students may wear red, white, and blue shoes, pants, tops, dresses, etc. with some accessories being okay.
PLEASE do not make this a night of political expression. This night is meant to share music of a celebratory and reflective nature that hopefully honors our veterans that have served.
Please do invite anyone that would enjoy listening. We will play a couple of marches, an arrangement of America the Beautiful and play one song that contains themes from our 5 military branches.
