What?! This is the last week of April and we're heading into May?? There are definitely some exciting and special events ahead with WIAA State Solo & Ensemble, the Lilac parade, Graduation and a few more - but we are certainly getting towards the end and have had an incredible year!
LIONEL HAMPTON JAZZ FESTIVAL
Our MHS Jazz 1 spent a large portion of Saturday in Moscow, ID at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival held on the campus of the University of Idaho. Despite the very early report and performance time, our Jazz 1 students had inspiring performances - thank you to the chaperones, students and parents that could make it to both the band and combo performances!
Congrats to Teghan Bright, Nick Kar, and Will Strauch for being recognized as Outstanding Soloists in a large ensemble.
Please check the Band App for some great photos and recordings of the performances!
UNIFORMS FITTED
Thank you to Judi Rodewald, Gemma Bright, Antoinette Go, Shannon Gamero and any/all others that have been helping! It is quite the task to get all of these students ready for the parade!
